Woodlands has more chargers per resident than almost anywhere else in Singapore — but half of them sit inside malls that close at 10pm. Here's where to charge without the curfew.
Kiat Goh

Woodlands is Singapore's northern gateway — a town of 253,000 residents stretching from the Johor Strait down to the Central Catchment. For EV drivers, the charging story here is split in two: the well-known mall options everyone uses, and a cluster of surprisingly cheap fast chargers hidden in industrial estates that most residents have never heard of. Knowing which is which matters — the difference between $0.50/kWh and $0.86/kWh is $18 on a 60kWh charge. Here's the full picture.
The best-value EV charging in Woodlands isn't at the mall. It's in the industrial estates along Woodlands Road, Woodlands Close, and Woodlands Industrial Park. These are pure charging stops — no cafés, no shopping, no scenic views. You plug in, wait in your car or nearby, and leave. But the rates are among the cheapest in Singapore for DC fast charging.
Woodlands Memorial at 7 Woodlands Industrial Park E8 hosts an EnerReady DC 120kW charger at $0.50/kWh. That's the cheapest DC fast charging in the entire Woodlands area, and among the cheapest in northern Singapore. A 30kWh session costs just $15.00.
This is a funeral parlour and columbarium — not a destination you'll linger at. The charger is in the carpark, accessible during operating hours. You're here to charge, not to visit. But at $0.50/kWh for 120kW DC, the value is undeniable if you're passing through the area.
Gali Batu Depot at 350 Woodlands Road offers Volt Singapore DC 120kW charging at $0.598/kWh. This is a MRT depot and industrial facility — again, no amenities, no reason to stay beyond charging. But at under $0.60/kWh for 120kW DC, a 30kWh session costs $17.94. The location is near the junction of Woodlands Road and Bukit Panjang Road, convenient for drivers heading toward the BKE - if you can access the MRT depot.
150 Woodlands Avenue 5 has an Eigen Energy DC 100kW charger at $0.60/kWh. This is an industrial building in the Woodlands Industrial Park area — no retail, no food, just a carpark charger. A 30kWh session costs $18.00, matching the best rates in Bukit Timah.
Mega@Woodlands at 39 Woodlands Close offers EV Mobility DC 120kW charging at $0.659/kWh. This industrial building houses the charger in its carpark. At $0.659/kWh, a 30kWh session is $19.77 — still significantly cheaper than mall-based options.
Republic Polytechnic at 39 Woodlands Avenue 9 is the exception in this group — it's an educational campus with actual amenities. Strides YTL operates a DC 50kW charger at $0.65/kWh. The campus has food courts, a library, and outdoor spaces. You can charge while grabbing a meal or coffee. A 30kWh session costs $19.50. The catch: campus access may be restricted during certain periods, and parking isn't always free.
27 Woodlands Link hosts City Energy Go DC 50kW charging at $0.65/kWh. This is an industrial warehouse location — no amenities, functional only. A 30kWh session costs $19.50.
These locations also sit in industrial estates but charge slightly more — still cheaper than mall options, but not quite the value leaders.
Polaris @ Woodlands at 101 Woodlands Avenue 12 offers FastParkNCharge DC 100kW charging at $0.70/kWh. This is an industrial building with no retail amenities. A 30kWh session costs $21.00.
Childtime Care at 21 Woodlands Close has a FastParkNCharge DC 50kW charger at $0.70/kWh. It's a childcare centre — you're not going to spend time here unless you're picking up a child. A 30kWh session costs $21.00.
Harvest @ Woodlands at 280 Woodlands Industrial Park E5 offers KED Energy DC 120kW charging at $0.72/kWh. Industrial location, no amenities. A 30kWh session costs $21.60.
NorthTech at 29 Woodlands Industrial Park E1 has KED Energy DC 60kW charging at $0.72/kWh. Another industrial site with nothing nearby. A 30kWh session costs $21.60.
These are the chargers you actually want to use — not because they're the cheapest, but because there's something to do while you wait.
Causeway Point at 1 Woodlands Square remains the most convenient charging destination in the area. It's the largest mall in Woodlands with direct MRT access, Cold Storage, food courts, and retail.
Tesla Superchargers (3 × 250kW): $0.55/kWh — Tesla-only unless you have a CCS to NACS adapter. For Tesla owners, this is unbeatable value combined with speed. A 30kWh session costs $16.50. Non-Tesla drivers can't use these.
SP Mobility DC (1 × 100kW): $0.861/kWh — expensive and outclassed by the Tesla bays metres away. A 30kWh session costs $25.83. Only use if the Tesla bays are occupied and you're desperate.
Woodlands Civic Centre at 900 South Woodlands Drive houses government offices, a library, and the HDB branch office. Volt Singapore operates DC 120kW charging at $0.74/kWh — available 24 hours, which is genuinely useful for early morning or late evening charging. The library and nearby cafés provide some amenity value. A 30kWh session costs $22.20.
8B @ Admiralty at 8B Admiralty Street offers Volt Singapore DC 180kW at $0.74/kWh — the fastest charger in Woodlands. This is an industrial building but near the Admiralty MRT area. A 30kWh session costs $22.20.
Woodlands Mart at 768 Woodlands Avenue 6 has Volt Singapore DC 120kW at $0.74/kWh. This is an HDB neighbourhood centre with a wet market, food centre, and shops — genuine amenity value. You can charge while eating or grocery shopping. A 30kWh session costs $22.20.
Woodlands North Plaza at 883 Woodlands Street 82 offers CDGE DC 100kW at $0.76/kWh. Another HDB neighbourhood centre with a market and food options. A 30kWh session costs $22.80.
Vista Point at 548 Woodlands Drive 44 has CDGE DC 100kW at $0.76/kWh. HDB neighbourhood centre with shops and food. A 30kWh session costs $22.80.
Storhub @ Marsiling at 31 Admiralty Road is the "hidden gem" from earlier versions of this guide. EVOne operates here, but current pricing isn't in the LTA dataset — the article's claimed $0.54–$0.56/kWh cannot be verified. What is confirmed: it's a self-storage facility with no amenities. You come here to charge, not to stay. Treat the pricing as uncertain until confirmed.
Woodlands Waterfront Park at 6 Admiralty Road West has Charge+ AC 22kW charging. The park is genuinely pleasant — coastal views, walking trails, cycling paths. But AC 22kW is slow: roughly 2 hours for a meaningful charge. This works for a morning park visit, not a quick top-up.
Woodlands and Admiralty have extensive HDB MSCP charging coverage across three operators.
Charge+ operates AC 7.4kW chargers at $0.629/kWh across multiple MSCPs:
Shell operates AC 7kW chargers at $0.69/kWh across numerous Woodlands HDB estates. Coverage is extensive — most Woodlands residents live within walking distance of at least one Shell charger.
CDGE also has strong HDB coverage at $0.695/kWh for AC 7kW, with chargers at:
At $0.695/kWh, CDGE is slightly more expensive than Charge+ ($0.629/kWh) but cheaper than Shell ($0.69/kWh). For overnight charging, the difference is modest — about $2 per 30kWh session between cheapest and most expensive.

Note: AC chargers are optimal for overnight or extended-stay charging; DC chargers are for on-the-go fast charging. Speeds and rates are not directly comparable across categories.

What to avoid:
For HDB residents:
Woodlands has a split personality when it comes to EV charging. On one side, you have industrial estate chargers at $0.50–$0.66/kWh — the cheapest DC fast charging in northern Singapore, but with zero amenities. On the other, you have mall and neighbourhood centre chargers at $0.74–$0.86/kWh — convenient, comfortable, and expensive.
The smart play: If you're a Woodlands resident, use your nearest HDB MSCP for overnight charging ($0.629/kWh Charge+). For fast charging, decide what's more valuable — your time or your money. The industrial gems at Woodlands Memorial ($0.50/kWh) and Gali Batu Depot ($0.598/kWh) save you $7–$10 per session compared to Causeway Point, but you'll be sitting in your car or walking around an industrial estate. The destination chargers at Woodlands Mart, Republic Poly, and Woodlands North Plaza cost more but let you eat, shop, or work while you charge.
The gap between cheapest and most expensive DC charging here is $0.36/kWh. On a 50kWh charge, that's $25.00 versus $43.05. Woodlands rewards drivers who know their options — and penalises those who default to the mall.
For Tesla owners, Causeway Point is a no-brainer at $0.55/kWh. Everyone else should think carefully about whether the amenity premium is worth it.

Jurong East has chargers in every mall, but the cheapest rate in the west isn't in a shopping centre at all. Here's what you'll actually pay.

Bukit Timah and the Dunearn corridor have no shortage of EV chargers — but the gap between the cheapest and most expensive options is stark. Here's where to charge, what to avoid, and how to keep your wallet happy in one of Singapore's most EV-dense neighbourhoods.
