  • Charge+ charges S$0.45 per kilowatt-hour (kWh) on its alternating-current (AC) plugs.
  • That is below the median public rate for AC, S$0.70.
  • IKEA Tampines, at 60 Tampines North Drive 2, Singapore 528764, has 18 plugs in a car park open to the public, except for lots IKEA keeps for its own commercial vehicles.
  • This page gives charging hours, busy times, parking and what a typical charge costs.

As of 16 October 2026, electric vehicle (EV) charging at IKEA Tampines costs S$0.45 per kWh on Charge+'s AC plugs.

Charging runs from 10am to 10pm daily.

Chargers at IKEA Tampines

Charge+ runs 16 AC plugs at 7.4kW and two at 7kW, and the revolt.sg charger map lists no direct-current (DC) fast charger here.

OperatorPlugsS$ per kWhOpen to the public?
Charge+16 AC, 7.4kW, Type 2S$0.45Yes, except IKEA's reserved lots
Charge+2 AC, 7kW, Type 2S$0.45Yes, except IKEA's reserved lots

Level 2: its 12 plugs open only at weekends and on public holidays.

On weekdays: use the Level 1 plugs at Pillar F, rows 4 and 6, on P1.

Reserved lots: the lots at Pillar I, rows 5 and 6, on P2 are for IKEA's commercial vehicles only.

Charging only: the EV lots are only for cars that are charging, under IKEA's EV charging terms.

How the rate compares

Lowest listed rate in Singapore: S$0.34 per kWh, at the Schneider Electric Building on Kallang Avenue. Those chargers are for the staff who work there, not the public, and the revolt.sg charger map marks them "Restricted access".

Cheapest open to the public: S$0.43 per kWh, on a 7.4kW AC point run by Eneready at the Singapore Polytechnic Graduates' Guild on Dover Road (postal code 139658). The Guild is a clubhouse, but its car park is open to non-members, who pay for parking on top of the charge.

Parking at the Guild: from Monday to Saturday, S$1.20 an hour, charged by the minute. On Sundays and public holidays, the Guild does not charge for parking from 7.01am to 10.30pm. The revolt.sg charger map shows the Guild's parking charges too.

With parking added: the 7.4kW point there adds at most 7.4kWh an hour, so from Monday to Saturday parking adds at least S$0.16 per kWh, for a total of at least S$0.59 per kWh. On those days, between 10am and 10pm, IKEA Tampines works out cheaper.

The median public rate: S$0.70 per kWh for AC. Charge+'s rate here is below it.

When it is busy

On weekdays, only the six plugs on Level 1 are open, and often none of them was available. At weekends, when all 18 are open, it is tight to moderate.

TimeWeekdaysWeekends
10am to 11amVery tightTight
11am to 2pmVery tightTight
2pm to 5pmVery tightTight
5pm to 10pmVery tightModerate

What the ratings mean:

  • Freely available: almost always a plug available.
  • Moderate: now and then, no plug was available.
  • Tight: at times, no plug was available.
  • Very tight: often, no plug was available.

So the best chance of an available plug is on a weekend evening, from 5pm.

  • Charge: S$9.00, at S$0.45 per kWh, on either size of plug.
  • Parking: nothing extra, as IKEA Tampines does not charge for parking from 7am to 11pm. The revolt.sg charger map also shows IKEA Tampines' parking charges.
  • Total: S$9.00, the same as the charge.
