One industrial-estate charger punches well above its weight in AMK's northeast corner. Here's the complete charging guide for Ang Mo Kio and Bishan — the best value, what to skip at Junction 8, and the hidden DC gem hiding on Jalan Pemimpin.
Editorial Team

Ang Mo Kio and Bishan have quietly become one of Singapore's better-value EV charging zones — if you know where to look. The area has over 600 charging ports across 170 locations, and the price spread is enormous. The cheapest DC fast charger in the area costs under $0.53/kWh. The most expensive mall DC option costs $0.86/kWh. That's a 62% difference for the same electrons.
This guide sorts every viable option by price. No narrative fluff, no mall marketing. Just where to plug in, what you'll pay, and whether it's worth the detour.
Address: 11 Bishan Street 21
Operator: SP Mobility
What you get: 120kW DC, single CCS2 port
The catch: Industrial building, not a mall. But it's the cheapest DC fast charger in the entire AMK-Bishan corridor.
At $0.5297/kWh, this is competitive with the best-value DC chargers island-wide. A BYD Atto 3 or Tesla Model Y will charge at full acceptance rate here — roughly 25–30 minutes to 80%. The location is just off Braddell Road, five minutes from Bishan MRT and easily accessible from the CTE.
This is not a well-known public charging spot. Most drivers heading to Bishan default to Junction 8, which costs 62% more for half the power. If you live or work near Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park, this is your go-to.
Addresses:
Operator: EV Mobility
What you get: 100–120kW DC, CCS2
The catch: Industrial locations, limited amenities nearby
The Jalan Pemimpin location is the better-known of the two — it's five minutes from AMK MRT and operates 24/7. Payment is through the GoParkin app with credit/debit card support. At $0.659/kWh, it's the second-cheapest DC option in the area and significantly undercuts the mall chargers.
The 8 AMK Industrial Park 2 location adds an extra 20kW for the same price, making it technically the better value if you're coming from the north side of AMK. Both locations are lightly used outside business hours — a reliable option for evening top-ups.
Locations:
Operator: Charge+
What you get: 120kW DC, CCS2
The catch: Mostly industrial/commercial sites with varying access hours
Charge+ has clustered its DC fast chargers around the industrial estates north and west of AMK town centre. At $0.728/kWh, these are mid-market for Singapore but represent solid value for the 120kW speed class. The NYP location is notable for being near the MRT and accessible outside typical industrial hours.
If the two cheaper options above are occupied, these Charge+ locations are your next best bet for fast DC without paying mall markups.
Locations:
Operator: ComfortDelGro Engie
What you get: 100–190kW DC, CCS2
The catch: Industrial locations, limited public amenities
CDG Engie's pricing is consistent across its estate network. The standout here is the Work + Store location with 190kW DC — one of the highest power outputs in the area. At $0.7599/kWh, it's not cheap, but if you have a high-acceptance-rate vehicle (Porsche Taycan, Hyundai Ioniq 5/6), the extra power can make the per-minute cost competitive.
This is where pricing gets less attractive. Options in this bracket include:
Junction 8 deserves special mention for being the worst value in the area. At $0.8611/kWh for 50kW DC, you're paying overinflated prices for entry-level speed. The only reason to use it is if you're already shopping at the mall and the convenience outweighs the cost. For dedicated charging runs, drive past Junction 8 and head to Robert Bosch or Jalan Pemimpin instead.
Locations:
Operator: Shell Recharge
What you get: 50–180kW DC, CCS2
The catch: Most expensive DC in the area
Shell's pricing is consistent across its Singapore network at $0.89/kWh for DC. The Lake View location offers 180kW for that price, making it the only high-power option at this tier. The AMK Avenue 6 location is just 50kW — effectively the same speed as many estate AC chargers but at nearly triple the per-kWh cost. Use Shell only if you need the Plug & Charge convenience or if the 180kW Lake View location is on your route.
For overnight or all-day parking, AC charging is where the real savings are. The AMK-Bishan area has excellent AC coverage, and the cheapest options are genuinely cheap.
Address: 157 Sin Ming Road
Operator: MNL Solutions
What you get: 22kW AC, Type 2
The catch: Industrial building, limited public parking
This is the cheapest AC charger in the area at $0.545/kWh. The 22kW speed is useful for a meaningful top-up during a 2–3 hour stop. If you work in the Sin Ming industrial estate, this is an excellent value option.
Address: 38 Jalan Pemimpin
Operator: Novowatt
What you get: 22kW AC, Type 2
The catch: Light industrial street, no retail nearby
Just down the road from the EV Mobility DC charger, M38 offers 22kW AC at $0.55/kWh. It's a good companion option — if the DC bay is occupied, the AC here is only marginally more expensive per kWh and will still add meaningful range during a lunch-hour stop.
Key locations:
Operator: Charge+
What you get: 7.4–11kW AC, Type 2
The catch: Estate carpark chargers — slow but cheap
Charge+ dominates the residential and community AC landscape in AMK at $0.629/kWh. The 7.4kW speed means overnight charging is the intended use case — a full 8-hour session will add roughly 50–60km of range. For residents with dedicated parking near these blocks, this is the most economical way to keep an EV charged in the area.
The pricing has held steady through 2025–2026, making Charge+ the predictable, budget-friendly choice for regular AC top-ups.
Key locations:
Operator: SP Mobility
What you get: 7.4kW AC, Type 2
The catch: Slightly more expensive than Charge+
SP Mobility's estate chargers are reliably available but cost 7–11% more than Charge+ for the same 7.4kW speed. If you have both options near your block, Charge+ is the cheaper choice. The gap is small per session but adds up over a year of regular charging.
Key locations:
Operator: Shell Recharge
What you get: 7kW AC, Type 2
The catch: Slightly slower (7kW vs 7.4kW) and marginally more expensive than Charge+
Shell's estate chargers at $0.69/kWh are competitive with SP Mobility but slightly pricier than Charge+. The Block 268A Bishan Street 24 location is a useful option for Bishan residents who want to avoid Junction 8's DC markup.
Key locations:
Operator: ComfortDelGro Engie
What you get: 7.4kW AC, Type 2
The catch: Among the more expensive estate AC options
CDG Engie's estate network is reliable but priced at the upper end of the residential AC range. Worth using if it's the only option near your block, but not a destination choice.

Volt Singapore operates at two AMK-area locations:
Current LTA pricing data shows $0.00/kWh for these locations, which suggests either a promotional rate, a data reporting issue, or a temporary pricing adjustment. Previous user reports cited rates around $0.57/kWh for AC and $0.65/kWh for DC, but these figures are unverified as of May 2026.
If you're a Volt Singapore subscriber, check the Volt app for current rates before planning a charging stop. The DBS AMK location is convenient for town-centre shopping, and the Link @ AMK DC option could be competitive if pricing returns to previously reported levels.

Ang Mo Kio and Bishan offer some of the best-value EV charging in Singapore's northeast — but only if you avoid the obvious choices. Junction 8 is convenient and expensive. Shell AMK Avenue 6 is convenient and expensive. The best-value chargers are hiding in industrial buildings and estate carparks.
For DC fast charging: Robert Bosch at $0.5297/kWh is the standout. EV Mobility at $0.659/kWh is your reliable backup. Everything else above $0.75/kWh should be weighed carefully against the convenience factor.
For AC charging: The sub-$0.60/kWh options (AM Tech Building, M38) are genuinely cheap by Singapore standards. The Charge+ estate network at $0.629/kWh is the sensible default for residents.
The infrastructure gap in this area is not price — it's awareness. Most drivers don't know about Robert Bosch or EV Mobility because they're not in malls. Once you do, your charging costs in AMK-Bishan drop by 30–60%.

Jurong East has chargers in every mall, but the cheapest rate in the west isn't in a shopping centre at all. Here's what you'll actually pay.

Bukit Timah and the Dunearn corridor have no shortage of EV chargers — but the gap between the cheapest and most expensive options is stark. Here's where to charge, what to avoid, and how to keep your wallet happy in one of Singapore's most EV-dense neighbourhoods.
