How the rates compare

Lowest listed rate in Singapore: S$0.34 per kWh, at the Schneider Electric Building on Kallang Avenue. Those chargers are for the staff who work there, not the public, and the revolt.sg charger map marks them "Restricted access".

Cheapest confirmed open to the public: S$0.43 per kWh, on a 7.4kW AC point run by Eneready at the Singapore Polytechnic Graduates' Guild on Dover Road (postal code 139658).

Cheapest fast DC confirmed open to the public: S$0.50 per kWh for 50kW or more, on a 180kW ultra-fast unit at the Singapore Polytechnic Graduates' Guild on Dover Road.

The median public rate: S$0.70 per kWh for AC and S$0.80 for fast DC (50kW to 150kW). SP Mobility's AC and DC rates here are above both.

Cheapest in each area: the Singapore EV Charging Price Index lists the cheapest public AC, fast DC and ultra-fast DC chargers, with their places, and the cheapest in each part of the island.

  • Every day, 11pm to 7am: NA.

What a typical charge costs here

Take a 22kWh top-up on an SP Mobility 22kW AC plug between 7am and 9pm, in a car that takes up to 11kW on AC and leaves when charging ends. Drivers should check what their own car takes.

  • Time: about 2 hours at 11kW.
  • Charge: about S$18, at about S$0.81 per kWh.
  • Parking: S$1.50 for the first hour plus 2 × S$0.80, so S$3.10, on any day. The revolt.sg charger map also shows Compass One's parking charges.
  • Total: about S$21, or about S$0.95 per kWh.
  • On SP Mobility's 100kW DC plugs: in a car that averages 50kW on DC, the same 22kWh takes about 26 minutes and costs about S$20, at about S$0.89 per kWh. With S$1.50 for the first hour of parking, the total is about S$21.
