Best EV Charging in Woodlands and Admiralty — 2026 Guide

Last verified: April 2026.

Woodlands is Singapore's northern gateway — a town of 253,000 residents that stretches from the Johor Strait down to the green corridors of the Central Catchment. It's also one of the more challenging places to charge an EV. Unlike Tampines or Jurong East, where chargers cluster around major malls and transport hubs, Woodlands spreads its limited charging infrastructure across a sprawling residential landscape. The result is a town where you need to know exactly where you're going — because the nearest alternative might be a 15-minute drive away.

This guide covers the charging options across Woodlands and Admiralty, from the busy commercial core around Woodlands MRT to the quieter residential precincts near the waterfront. The story here isn't about abundance; it's about knowing which chargers are worth your time and which ones to skip.

Causeway Point: The Best-Equipped Location

Causeway Point at 1 Woodlands Square remains the most reliable charging destination in the area. As the largest mall in Woodlands with direct MRT access, it draws drivers from across the northern region — and its charging setup, while modest, is well-chosen for the location.

Tesla Superchargers (3 × 250kW)

The headline here is Tesla's presence. Three V3 Superchargers sit near the carpark entrance, delivering up to 250kW for compatible vehicles. At $0.55/kWh, these are competitively priced for the speed on offer — though this rate primarily benefits Tesla owners who can access the network seamlessly.

For Tesla owners, the experience is straightforward: plug in, walk away, and the car handles payment automatically through the Tesla app.

For non-Tesla owners, access is technically possible with a CCS to NACS adapter and the Tesla app, but this requires purchasing an adapter (not standard equipment for most EVs) and going through a more complex setup process. Unless you already own the adapter, the SP Mobility option nearby may be more practical despite the higher per-kWh cost.

SP Mobility DC (1 × 100kW)

Also at Causeway Point, in the B2 carpark at Lots 56–57, SP Mobility operates a single 100kW DC charger. At $0.709/kWh, this is significantly more expensive than the Tesla Superchargers metres away — roughly 29% more per kWh.

For Tesla owners, the math is clear: a 40kWh session at the Tesla Supercharger costs around $22.00 versus roughly $28.36 at SP Mobility. For non-Tesla owners without an adapter, the SP Mobility charger is the available DC option at this location, albeit at a premium.

Woodlands Civic Centre: Government Hub, Decent Charging

Woodlands Civic Centre at 900 South Woodlands Drive serves as the administrative heart of the town — housing government offices, a library, and the HDB branch office. It's also home to one of the better charging setups in Woodlands, operated by Keppel Volt (Volt Singapore).

Two 120kW DC fast chargers occupy Lots 121–122, priced at $0.69/kWh. These are available 24 hours, making them a solid option for early morning or late evening charging when Causeway Point's retail hours might not suit your schedule.

At $0.69/kWh, Keppel Volt sits in the middle of the local pricing range — cheaper than SP Mobility's Causeway Point offering. The 120kW speed is respectable: most current EVs will charge from 20% to 80% in roughly 30–40 minutes. For a government office location, the 24-hour availability is a genuine plus — you can charge here at 6 AM before work or 10 PM after dinner without worrying about mall closing times.

The Civic Centre also saw EVe launch its first fast charging station here in November 2024, adding further capacity to this location. The combined presence of multiple operators makes this one of the more reliable spots in Woodlands — if one operator's chargers are occupied, you have alternatives.

The Hidden Gem: Storhub @ Marsiling

Here's a location most Woodlands residents don't know about — and it's arguably the best-value fast charging in the entire area.

EVOne operates at Storhub @ Marsiling (31 Admiralty Road), just off Admiralty Road West near the Woodlands Waterfront. The setup is simple but effective:

  • 2 × 120kW DC fast chargers
  • 1 × 22kW AC charger
  • Pricing: $0.54/kWh (6 PM–8 AM), $0.56/kWh (8 AM–6 PM)
  • Free parking
  • 24/7 access via GoParkin app

Those rates make this the cheapest DC fast charging in Woodlands — and among the cheapest in northern Singapore. The off-peak rate of $0.54/kWh undercuts even Tesla's Superchargers at Causeway Point. The 24-hour availability and free parking remove the time pressure that comes with mall-based charging.

The trade-off is location. Storhub @ Marsiling isn't on the MRT line, and it's not near major retail. You're charging at a self-storage facility — functional, but not a destination. For drivers who live in western Woodlands or Admiralty, though, this is a genuine find. The 120kW speed matches what you'll get at Woodlands Civic Centre, but at roughly 20% less cost.

Admiralty and the HDB Estate Network

The Admiralty area — the western precinct of Woodlands, anchored by Admiralty MRT station — has a more residential character. Charging here follows the typical Singapore HDB pattern: scattered AC chargers with occasional DC options, operated by the major networks.

Shell Recharge maintains a presence at 467 Admiralty Drive, with three AC 7kW chargers on the MSCP deck 1B. These are standard Shell Recharge installations — reliable, app-based payment, but slow. At 7kW, you're looking at roughly 4–5 hours for a meaningful charge. This works for residents who can plug in overnight, but it's not a solution for visitors needing a quick top-up.

Charge+ operates at 469 Admiralty Drive MSCP, with four AC 7.4kW chargers at deck B2A. These are typical HDB estate chargers — functional, reasonably priced (around $0.63/kWh for AC), and designed for overnight use rather than fast charging.

Admiralty Place at 678A Woodlands Avenue 6 has three Shell Recharge stations, while 482A Admiralty Link adds three more. These are primarily AC chargers serving the dense HDB population in this precinct.

The pattern is clear: Admiralty has charging coverage, but it's overwhelmingly AC. If you need fast DC charging and you live in western Woodlands, your best bets are Storhub @ Marsiling (for value) or Woodlands Civic Centre (for convenience).

Woodlands Waterfront and the Northern Edge

Woodlands Waterfront Park is one of the town's genuine attractions — a coastal promenade with views across the Strait of Johor, popular with cyclists, joggers, and families. The charging here is minimal but useful for visitors.

Charge+ operates two AC 22kW chargers at the Woodlands Waterfront Carpark (6 Admiralty Road West), at Lots 4 and 5. These are slower than DC options but adequate for a park visit — plug in, walk the waterfront trail, and return to a topped-up vehicle.

At roughly $0.63/kWh, Charge+'s AC rates are competitive for the speed class. The 22kW rate means roughly 2 hours for a meaningful charge — fine if you're spending the morning at the park, less useful if you're just passing through.

What to Avoid

SP Mobility at Causeway Point ($0.709/kWh DC) is expensive relative to other options in the area. If you're a Tesla owner, the Tesla Superchargers nearby offer better value. For non-Tesla owners, Woodlands Civic Centre or Storhub @ Marsiling typically offer better rates.

NorthLink Building (10 Admiralty Street) has a single Charge+ station at $0.7092/kWh — expensive for what appears to be an AC charger, and not worth a dedicated trip unless you're already working in the building.

The broader issue in Woodlands is expectation management. This is not Tampines, with its IKEA anchor and abundant charging. It's not Jurong East, with its multiple malls and fast-charging clusters. Woodlands has enough charging to serve its residents, but visitors should plan ahead rather than assuming they'll find a convenient fast charger near their destination.

Practical Tips

For fast DC charging:

  • Best value: Storhub @ Marsiling (EVOne, 120kW DC, $0.54–$0.56/kWh, free parking, 24/7)
  • Best convenience: Causeway Point Tesla Superchargers (250kW, $0.55/kWh, mall amenities) — Tesla owners only, or non-Tesla owners with CCS-NACS adapter
  • Best 24-hour option: Woodlands Civic Centre Keppel Volt (120kW DC, $0.69/kWh, government building hours don't restrict charging)

For AC overnight charging:

  • HDB estates have standard Charge+ and SP Mobility coverage — check your specific block's carpark
  • Shell Recharge at 467 Admiralty Drive and 319 Woodlands Street 31 for wider network coverage

For visitors:

  • Don't assume your destination has charging — check the revolt.sg charger map before you leave
  • Causeway Point is the safest bet for combined charging and shopping
  • Tesla Superchargers are primarily for Tesla owners; non-Tesla access requires a CCS-NACS adapter that most drivers don't carry

The Verdict

Woodlands is a town that works for EV owners who plan ahead, but frustrates those who don't. The charging infrastructure exists — Causeway Point, Woodlands Civic Centre, and the hidden gem at Storhub @ Marsiling provide solid DC fast-charging options — but the distances between them and the limited coverage in western Woodlands means you need to know where you're going.

For residents, the story is simpler: overnight AC charging at HDB estates covers daily needs, with fast DC available for road trips or unusual schedules. For visitors, the advice is equally straightforward: charge at Causeway Point if you're shopping, at Woodlands Civic Centre if you need 24-hour access, and at Storhub @ Marsiling if you want the best rates in the area.

Woodlands may be Singapore's northern gateway, but when it comes to EV charging, it's still a town that rewards local knowledge. Know where the chargers are, know what they cost, and you'll be fine. Assume you'll find one when you need it, and you might be disappointed.
